Social Events
The Oadby & Wigston Lions Club members enjoy a variety of social events. Adults are welcome to join us as a guest of the club at our upcoming 'film night' social events - enjoy a free movie, discover what Lions do in the community, and how you can contribute to our local projects and fundraising events.
Burns Night 2026 - meal at Leicester College Taste Restaurant
Join us on Thursday 15th January 2026 for our charity fundraiser celebrating Burns Night at the Leicester College's Taste Restaurant.
Tickets are £32 per person and can be ordered using the button below - spaces are limited, so please reserve your seats ASAP.
The meal starts at 6.30pm.
The staff and students at the Taste Restaurant always supply an excellent meal and we look forward to our next taste of haggis... vegetarian options are available. Menu choices will be requested nearer the time, so please ensure we have your contact details (email treasurer@oadbywigstonlions.uk).
Film Nights
We will hold a bi-monthly film screening for members and guests on the following dates:

Venue: United Refored Church, Long Street, Wigston Magna LE18 4PB
We choose general interest films as well as a few classics. Guests must be 18 years of age or over to join us. Feel free to just arrive on the day - but if you can let us know you're coming that would be great! We collect donations to cover our expenses and any profits are donated to the United Reformed Church and the Oadby & Wigston Lions Club charity fund. Free tea/coffee is provided. Other snacks (e.g popcorn, ice creams, sweets, hot dogs) will be on sale at £1.00 per item.
Film screenings take place at 2.00pm - doors open from 1.15pm so you can have a drink and a chat.
