Who we are

Our club is made up of more than 20 members with a wide range of ages, interests and ideas, having fun whilst working to a common end - serving the local community and beyond.

Being a Lion helps you change peoples' lives, even if you do not have a lot of time to spare. We meet each month, on the last Monday of the month at Glen Gorse Golf Club, A6, Oadby at 7.00 p.m.

We also enjoy working on community and charity fund raising projects throughout the year. When we fundraise we make sure that 100% of the funds donated by the public are passed on to the charities we are supporting.

Members' subscriptions pay for the running costs of the club.

Community Projects

Lions are active in your community, helping to improve the environment, feed the needy, and support the elderly.

Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a core belief - to serve their community...

Lions Clubs International (LCI)

Lions are ordinary people who do extraordinary things to help others and support good causes throughout the British Isles. Globally we have more volunteers in more places than any other service club organisation, and love to help others and make things happen. Every Lions Club supports a range of good causes and projects in its area where you can get involved. Every day Lions are having fun by organising remarkable and memorable fundraising activities. Every year in Europe alone, Lions Clubs’ members volunteer around 6 million hours of service and raise £88 million to support the needs of local communities. Because we are local, we serve the unique needs of the communities in which we live. As we are global, we can address community challenges wherever they occur.
